In-Depth Flight Experience
Boarding Experience at Singapore Airlines Terminal 3
This was a flight I had eagerly anticipated as it marked my first journey in Suites Class aboard the renowned A380. The journey began at Singapore Airlines' First Class Check-in area at Terminal 3, exclusively for Suites, First, and Solitaire PPS Club members.
Lounge Experience: The Private Room
After a swift check-in and First Class Immigration, I stepped into The Private Room, a dedicated lounge for First and Suites Class passengers. I took the liberty to order from the ala-carte menu, enjoying Lobster Bisque, Wagyu Satay, Lobster Thermidor, Dimsum Platter, Belgian Waffle, and Ice Cream before preparing for boarding.
Boarding and First Impressions of Suites
The flight was bustling with passengers as I became one of the first to board, warmly welcomed by the flight attendant. The Suite welcomed me with its spaciousness, equipped with electronic window shades and a control tablet.
Takeoff and In-Flight Dining
The aircraft took off at sunset, setting the sky aglow with hues of yellow and blue. The dining experience commenced with a flavorful Chicken Satay, followed by Scallops drizzled in pesto sauce, and a slightly overcooked yet delicious steak. Dessert comprised a cheese board and an unidentified cake.
Suite Amenities and Rest
After the meal, the crew assisted in making the Suite's bed, reminiscent of a thinner full-sized bed, complete with duvet and pillows. I explored the lavatory and was amazed at its spaciousness, furnished with Lalique amenities. I indulged in the massive 32-inch TV before dozing off for a couple of hours.
Arrival at Mumbai
Upon waking, the aircraft began its descent into Mumbai and subsequently landed at the designated runway, marking the conclusion of the flight.
Review and Reflection
The overall flight cost me 58500 miles, offering a unique experience, especially due to the presence of an actual bed in the sky. Considering the high demand for Suites tickets compared to First Class on the B777, I would eagerly book this product again.
