Scoot to operate Embraer E190-E2 flights from early May

Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will be taking delivery of their first Embraer E190-E2 aircraft in April this year, and is set to operate to 6 destinations, including 2 new ones.

Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will receive their first two Embraer E190-E2 planes in April of this year. Scoot, which has previously ordered nine of these jets, will have all of it delivered by 2025.


Launch customer

Scoot is the launch customer of the Embraer E190-E2 jets. Last year, an order was placed with the intention of expanding regionally, and the plan is to launch flights in May of this year. The first two aircrafts will be delivered from Embraer's facility in São Paulo, Brazil, and is slated to be delivered to Singapore in April of this year. In addition, the first aircraft which will be put into service is nicknamed "Explorer 3.0", and it will be used to facilitate the inaugural and the next few flights to Krabi and Hat Yai on May 7.


6 destinations, 2 new ones

Scoot has announced the 6 destinations that will be operated by the Embraer E190-E2 jets, including 2 new destinations that have not been operated by Scoot before. All the currently announced are in Thailand and Malaysia. The 6 destinations, and their inaugural flight dates, are as listed below.

Once more of the E190-E2 aircrafts are delivered, frequencies of some routes such as the Singapore-Koh Samui routes will be increased from 7 a week to 10 a week.
