The grounds of the Avalon Australian International Airshow 2025 are bustling with throngs of people once again, after all programmes and activities at Avalon Airshow came to a standstill after a Paul Bennet Airshow's Wolf Pitts S1-11X crashed on Friday afternoon (28 March 2025) while doing a group aerobatic display.
Fortunately, the pilot was in a stable condition, and Avalon Airshow has announced in a statement that the second public day will go on as usual, albeit with a delayed timing for aerial displays.
The displays on Saturday will start at 12.30pm with the Wall of Fire, and thereafter, the flying displays will resume.
The airshow organisers said in a statement that "the airshow will proceed on Saturday with gates opening at 8.00am" and that the “organisers have announced that today’s flying display will begin at 1.00pm”.
For Friday ticket holders, the organisers will be issuing a ticket - or a “Boarding Pass” - For tomorrow’s airshow (30 March 2025).
“As we were unable to deliver a full airshow yesterday, Avalon Australian International Airshow organisers have arranged for Friday ticketholders to receive a free Boarding Pass (General Admission ticket) to attend the event on Sunday 30 March.” Justin Giddings, CEO of AMDA Foundation, the organiser of the airshow, said. “Tickets are being issued directly via Ticketek.”
